Good Performances at the Schools international by all our players at Lilleshall |
|
It was great to be at the schools! This tournament qualifies as one of the best in terms of team spirit and enjoyment. In results terms Conor Nolan kept the flag flying with a good performance to reach the semi-finals of the Under 16 Boys. Both Conor and Sean Givernaud took Gavin Rumgay to three sets and Sean gave a more mature display with better all round play. John Murphy went out in the singles to Bryn Drinkhall of England but over thew weekend he played well beating Peter Cleminson in the team matches. Andy also came close to beating Peter Cleminson, just losing out 19 in the third after an excellent match. He lost in the singles in an impressive display to Nathan Thomas a pair of 19s. In spite of trying to leave one of the Non playing captains behind in England it was a very successful weekend and a good precursor to the summer's play. |
