Good Results in English Tournaments |

Conor Nolan reached the last 16 of the Cotswold Select in Cheltenham. Andy and John reached the last 32 of the tournament which featured all the top English players. Sean finished second in the Seasiders Graded Open. In Cotswold all three players played well at the weekend with Conor and Andy winning their two groups in the grade 1 and the Open singles and John Murphy winning his Open singles group. Conor beat Arron Chapman in the last 32 two straight. Andy beat Tom Page 2-1 in an exciting three setter in his last 64 match. John lost to Gregory Baker two straight also in the last 32. Andy was beaten in the next round by Tom Hughes,but overall he had a good tournament In the next round Conor also lost to Tom Hughes. He was unlucky not to win having been up 19-16 in the first. In the end he lost 22-20 in both sets but overall had a good tournament. On the same weekend Sean Givernaud was representing Ireland at the Seasiders tournament in Blackpool. He played very well to finish second in the band he was competing in. Especially as many of the players were experienced. |
