| Whistling past the Graveyard |

It was a great opportunity to train at the club in Halmstad. We travelled over for a week's camp in July. Adam Claffey, Conor Beades, Matthew Jones and Luke O'Shea were the four who made the trip. Unfortunately Joe Robinson was ill before the trip and could not go. The accommodation was in a school close by and food was served in the local old folks home and was excellent. Strangest aspect was the walk to the hall through the graveyard! The training camp was very good. There was a good standard and a good number of players(about 60). Of course there were aspects that could have been better but it was well organised and the club were anxious to learn and improve the camp. Unfortunately it rained all week so this curtailed many of the activities planned for the evenings. On Monday we did get to play mini-golf and there was a trip to a Swedish League match between Halmstad and Elfsborg on Tuesday but there was no chance to get to the nice beaches close by as the downpour was constant. All the players benefitted from the week's training and will be stronger next season as a result. |
