Mark is heading off to his second European Youth Championships. This time the venue is Prague in the Czech Republic. He will form part of the three strong team which also includes Sam Hanley and Daniel Keenan. They have been drawn in the first round against Netherlands, Lituania, Estonia and Azerbaijan.All the matches will be tough but the team have been training hard and are all looking forward to the challenge.
Ironically a boy from the Czech Republic has come to training in the club while he is staying in Dublin. Rudolf Kostka is 15 and from Prague and knows well the city we are about to travel to.
There is also a French player training in the club Samuel Coutolleau which is also funny as we are heading for France this summer for our pre Season training camp in August.
This week in Dublin World and European Champion Peter Karlsson was in town. He was conducting a training camp in Lucan. It was an excellent experience for our players who attended namely Mark and Gavin. Peter was very friendly and approachable and was a big hit with all the players.
Overall it has been an exciting summer and all in the cluub are looking forward to the new season. Before that we wish Mark and the cadet team every success at EYC 05
