Shane and Niall headed off to Fonyod in Hungary in the first of the Club's summer trips to training camps. Two of our most experienced Senior players, John Bowe and Marcus McDonnell headed out with them to the lakeside Hungarian retreat where the camp will be conducted under the supervision of Werner Schlager's coach.
All four players were looking forward to the trip and the training. They will also have the chance to take in some of the European Youth Championships in Budapest over weekend after the training as they don't return to Ireland until the Monday. There they will be able to support their club mate Mark O'Flynn who is playing for the cadet team.
Later on in the summer the club is making a return visit to Calella in Spain where we attended a hugely success pre season training camp last August. All the players are looking forward to that and hope that it will lead to as successful a season as the one that followed last year's trip.
