Mark O'Flynn surprised many people at the Irish Ranking tournament in Cork by reaching the Semi-finals and eventually finishing Third in Ireland.
Gavin Maguire finished eighth in a very competitive age group. Gavin lost to Mark 3-1 in the Quarter finals but he has another year Under 12 and is the top Under 11 in Ireland.
Mark had some difficult matches early on and was two sets to one down in the last sixteen but fought back well to win 3-2. He also survived a count back in an earlier group but when the final stages came he showed some great form to win through to the semis.
In the semis he battled well against the more experienced Irish No.1 Niall McDonnell before losing 11-5,13-11,11-9.
Overall it was a good day for the club's Young Guns
