Gavin is Selected for the Irish Primary School Team

Gavin Maguire is the first of Eastpoint - the next Generation to receive representative honours when he was selected for the Irish team to play at the Primary Schools Home Countries which takes place in Scotland in April.

He was delighted to get this honour and is training hard at the club in these days of no tournaments (because of Foot and Mouth).

The team in the boys is Daniel Keenan, Patrick Guy, Niall McDonnell and Gavin and the tournament will be held in Largs - the National Centre for Sport in Scotland.

The recent outbreak of Foot and Mouth might put the event in jeopardy but it is too early to tell. You can check out information about this event at the ISTTA web site. The site is not finished yet but there is still things to see.
